SCATERED BLOSSOMS
Like a carpet of pink they lay
Underfoot and mixed with rain now
Pink lentils in a pot of nature’s soup
How soon people forget their fragrance
How soon they forget the walks they had
Walking under there cover in a sudden shower
No one stopped to thank the trees that held them
No one thanked them for the pink roof they provided
Using them now for their dogs there is still no thanks said
Still no appreciation of these scattered and forgotten pink blossoms
