HEAVEN WAS SILENT
Did an angel whisper, did the choir sing
Did the heavenly host cry out?
As they crucified my king.
No “not a sound was uttered, not a voice was heard,
But the notice of scoffers cheering, screming every word
“Kill him kill him “, the crowds began to bawl.
But still no heavenly protest no nothing at all.
Why were the heavens silent, why were the angels still
As they looked down on my saviour, dying on that hill.
What was the answer, what can the reason be,
It was gods will that he should die, to ransom you and me
